Resident Engineer

Hernan, having over 30 years of public works inspection, construction management and engineering experience plays a critical role at Onward Engineering.  Currently, Hernan acts as Resident Engineer on our projects and performs public work inspections on construction sites to ensure proper construction. 

As Resident Engineer, Hernan supervises and assists inspection personnel in the construction of flood, road, road maintenance and traffic signal projects. His daily responsibilities consist of ensuring that projects are constructed within their targeted schedule and allocated funding.  These duties include maintaining correspondence with the Contractor, incorporated cities, utility companies and PFRD Departments.  He also Provides daily supervision of inspection personnel and solves problems when conflicts arise with the contractor during the construction of each project.
